The mission of the ESD is to raise awareness of Education for Sustainable Development school programs and curriculum as well as deepen a sense of global interconnectedness and cooperation between teachers in Japan and the United States. In preparation for his program, Joe attended the Joint Conference in San Francisco, California including a dinner at the U.S. Consul to Japan. He was able to Skype with one of the the Japanese teacher’s classrooms and started collaborating with some of the teachers he will be working with in Japan.
