Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

In addition to the core curriculum, students have the opportunity to take advanced courses in social studies, mathematics and foreign language and to participate in elective programs that help them to develop additional skills. Advanced Placement (AP) classes offer college-level curriculum and examinations to high school students.  Colleges often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain a certain score on the examinations (usually a 3 or higher out of a possible 5).  The AP curriculum for subjects is created by a panel of experts and college-level educators.  AP courses can be a great option for students looking to boost their college applications, gain experience, and earn credit before stepping foot inside a university.
