Food Service at Seeds of Health
Seeds of Health is proud to partner with the Centers for Independence (CFI) to provide all students free and nutritious breakfast and lunch options every day. CFI, formerly the Milwaukee Center for Independence, has been serving the greater Milwaukee area for more than 80 years, offering schools carefully designed menus that appeal to children, teach them the benefits of a nutritious diet, and meet and exceed the nutrient standards set forth by the USDA and Department of Public Instruction.
To ensure all students have access to free meals, Seeds Schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a federal program that allows all enrolled students to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost, regardless of household income.
National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
All school breakfasts and lunches abide by the nutrition standards and meal pattern requirements set forth by the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
