Support Services

Support Services

A distinctive characteristic of our school program is the system of support services available to address the specific needs of students.
Special Education
Special education is provided to students at Veritas High School. The special education department is staffed by a special education teacher. Special education is provided to students by a special education teacher who works closely with administration, instructors, community agencies and parents to ensure that each student reaches his/her academic potential.

Tutorial Program
Veritas High School is dedicated to meeting the needs of each individual student. Tutorial is offered to all students from 8:00 AM - 8:15 AM every morning and from 3:15 PM - 3:45 PM every day after school except for Mondays.

Guidance Program
The Veritas High School Comprehensive School Counseling Program will prepare all students for post-secondary education success by providing academic, career and personal/social development.  In partnership with other educators, parents/guardians and the community, the school counselor helps all students learn to advocate for themselves and become productive members of society.

Reading Intervention
Veritas recognizes that many students need additional support in meeting their reading goals. Veritas offers reading intervention with a trained interventionist to students that meet certain criteria. Intervention can happen in the classroom, small group settings, or 1-1 depending on your student's needs. Our reading interventionist works closely with our teachers and administration to meet the needs of all our students.
