Two Alumni Awarded Scholarships from Milwaukee STOP Program

The S.T.O.P program (Students talking it over with Police) was developed by the Milwaukee Police Department and is aimed at improving the relationships of police and the youth of Milwaukee.
Guadalupe Cruz- Ortiz and Anthony Landeta, both 2014 Veritas graduates, were honored on Saturday, August 16th at the S.T.O.P “Back to School Bash at Miller Park." 

Both students participated in the S.T.O.P program at Veritas High School during the 2013-14 school year and displayed incredible leadership and interest in improving relationships with the police department and improving the quality of life in their community.

Beverly Taylor from Fox 6 news announced the scholarships and S.T.O.P program lead facilitators, Officer Cullin Weiskopf and Officer Bill Singleton from the Office of Community Outreach and Education were on hand to present the $1000.00 checks.
