In 2027-28, a second Veritas Campus – Veritas East – will be joining the Seeds Schools network. Together, Veritas East and Veritas West – our current, legacy campus – will serve more students seeking a high-quality education in Milwaukee through its focus on postsecondary readiness in a small school environment.
Established in 2001, Veritas High School is a public, tuition-free charter school authorized by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and proudly part of the Seeds Schools network. Veritas’ mission is to prepare students for post-secondary success and to be productive participants in their community through a rigorous and dynamic curriculum in a safe and supportive environment. Veritas is a 4-Star Exceeds Expectations school (Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction 2024-25 School Report Card) and was named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 Best High Schools list.
Veritas students have many opportunities to challenge themselves, earn college credits, and prepare for the rigors of postsecondary education. Veritas offers a slate of Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as a dual enrollment course delivered in partnership with Mount Mary University. In 2025, Veritas earned an AP Bronze Honor Roll Award. The AP Honor Roll recognizes schools whose Advanced Placement programs are delivering results for students while broadening access to Advanced Placement.
Veritas nurtures a relationship-based, safe, small-school environment where students can thrive. They have access to onsite mental health support through our agency’s partnership with Jewish Family Services and to social emotional learning opportunities through partnerships with several community organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. WIAA sports and extracurricular activities for every interest round out a robust student experience. At Veritas, no student is overlooked, and every young person has the opportunity to discover their passions, try something new, and prepare for their bright future.
