About Me

Colleen O’Brien, a Special Education teacher at Veritas High School, has been lucky enough to work with a wide variety of students throughout the Milwaukee area and internationally in Vietnam. She loves the joys and challenges of every age group and is always honored to keep in touch with former students to see how they grow and blossom. Her favorite aspect of teaching is the depth of relationships she gets to build with students. She loves getting to know students’ hobbies and aspirations, and works to fan the flames of those passions.

She holds a Master of Arts in Elementary and Middle School teaching from Alverno College and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (English/Education/Psychology) from Hamilton College. 

When not in the classroom, Colleen is an avid teacher and practitioner of yoga, a proud dog-mom, a book worm, and a humble student of mixed martial arts, especially Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. 

She is excited to begin her journey at Seeds of Health because of how kind and passionate each staff member is about serving the Milwaukee community. She is honored to be a part of this movement for compassion and dignity for all people.
