“When I first saw the job posting for an English teacher at Veritas High School, I talked to my grandma who worked in schools her whole life. She worked in the Milwaukee area as well as the Waukesha area. She helped me do research on Veritas and Seeds of Health, and I fell in love with the mission statement and the goals of the agency. At my job interview, I walked into the MPR and saw the mural of the eye above the stage. I instantly felt like I was at home when I saw that and all of the other art in the building. During my interview, I was given a tour of the school and I saw how much art is integrated in the school. I loved that instantly because I was a student very much interested in the arts, but my school rarely showed art, so seeing art in every nook and cranny of Veritas made my heart so incredibly happy. Upon the conclusion of my interview, I knew that this was the place for me and where I should establish my roots.”
